September 13 - 14 2008

Williamsport MD

Sponsored by Kilroy's Home Front Commandos (4F brigade if you like). We are set up near you all at Reading.

The reason I am contacting you is my hometown of Williamsport is really motivated to begin an annual WW II weekend in the town. We have scheduled September 13, 14 this year as a kick-off date. Next year we are moving the event to May, as there are a lot less activity in the mid-Atlantic area in May.

We are trying to attract the most reenactors as possible to the

September event. The high point will be a USO Canteen dance and dinner in the huge barn located in the park on Saturday night. We have the Ray Birely orchestra, an authentic Big Band dating to the 30's booked.

Also we have Abbott and Costello whom you have seen at Reading or aboard the John Brown.

Would any member of the Big Red One be interested in attending? We are not assigning areas to any group yet, it will be first come first served.

The park is 10 + acres big so there is plenty of room. The groups who attend the weekend in September will have first choice on sites for May.

Get back to me for more information.
